About Old Rugs
Layout also offers preowned rugs, and we introduce all of them as “old rugs” without labeling them as vintage or antique.
Price Labeling
At Layout, we believe that the excitement customers experience when they encounter a rug, and the comfort they feel when using it in their daily life, are the true values we offer.
That’s why we don’t use double pricing tactics like “regular price and special price” for our rugs. We don’t want the initial value customers feel when they encounter a rug to be tied to discounts.
Instead, we introduce the value of each rug we offer as our ideal price to our customers.
We understand that it can be difficult to understand the true value of handmade rugs, so we strive to convey this information with transparency.

Layout takes great care in ensuring that the rugs we acquire in the local region are properly cleaned and maintained before they are delivered to Japan. Layout works with trusted and reliable partners who accompany them to purchase rugs and handle the cleaning and maintenance process.
Health Check For Rugs
Upon arrival in Japan, Layout’s staff conducts a thorough health check on each rug to ensure it meets our high standards. Any rug that fails to pass the check will be sent to our trusted local partners for cleaning and repair before delivery to our customers. Our commitment to delivering Japanese quality is unwavering, even for rugs made overseas.
