Hello.
This is Komatsu, taking a breather after the Abashiri POPUP finished the other day.
After spending a few dream-like days, I thought to myself, "Maybe it was just a dream..." but the muscle pain I felt in every joint of my body told me the reality.
Speaking of dreams, some of our staff (including myself) have many anecdotes about explaining lag in their dreams... I wonder how much we love dreams...
Well, that was a long introduction.
This time we would like to introduce you to this vintage Shiraz rug.

The vividness of the POP, which looks like a row of Tyrolean tape, is so fun to look at that it makes your heart leap.
I've been going to fabric stores more often for the first time in decades, and I've been impressed by the uniqueness and wonderful designs of Tyrolean tape, so when I came across this rug, I just had to introduce it to everyone! (Showa-style)

When looking at rugs, one thing that often strikes me is the sense of color coordination.
Even if the rug is finished using a variety of colors, it will have a cohesive look when viewed as a whole.
You will also learn how to combine colors.
The slightly nostalgic retro feel is also a unique feature of this rug.

There is a pink duck hidden in the border.
It looks like a toy duck that kids take for walks. I want to make this a serious post, but it just looks like it, so I can't help it. I'll also include a picture.

A rug with such a colorful design can be used as an accent in a simple interior.
The color on the floor really tightens up the overall space.
Placing the emphasis at the bottom will give the room a more cohesive look.
Alternatively, if you lay it in a colorful space, such as a colorful room in an artist's studio in Paris, surrounded by their favorite things, the interplay of all the color schemes will create a miraculous sense of unity.
It also looks great in spaces where ornamental plants and mobiles are hung!

This is my personal favorite design.
The Bay Bridge seen from the pier at night, with its lights reflected on the water, is a truly romantic sight.
There are many helicopters flying above and below (some say too many), and many couples and wealthy people are enjoying the night view of the Bay Bridge.
It seems that this makes me think, "Next time, I'll get on a helicopter and look down on it!"

The colour of the fringe and edges is lovely too.
Its sturdy and thick construction makes it suitable for use under a dining table or desk.
You may not be aware of this in your daily life, but you may notice that you often find yourself looking down while working, and that rugs naturally come into view.
We tend to rely on rugs that are said to be in muted colors or easy to match, but since you have the opportunity, why not go all out and choose one that suits your taste?
This will create a relaxing space that you will love and help you spend the day in a good mood.
