-We created a Gabbeh to help you enjoy sheep even more-
Layout's original Gabbeh features a single colored line woven into a beige wool canvas that is undyed to match the color of the sheep.
Because it is so simple, we paid particular attention to the thread used to sew the edges of the rug and the colors of the pompoms on the four corners, resulting in a special Gabbeh that can be styled in a variety of ways, both stylishly and naturally, for a variety of occasions.
Whether you're a Gabbeh lover with lots of favorite Gabbehs, someone who prefers simple but long-lasting quality items, or a dog or cat who loves wool rugs, we'll create a space where everyone can enjoy themselves comfortably.

We asked buyer Hirai, the creator of SEN!
Q. Why did you decide to create SEN?
During our local rug buying trips, we travel around to various places to select rugs and also look for partners who will work with us to create original products.
In the past, I have attempted to create original rugs several times, such as communicating my detailed design wishes to weavers and having them weave samples in three completely different regions, or selecting yarn locally and ordering the rug.
Of course, it's not always easy, and the rug that arrives is often never completed, or it's a far cry from the original design that was ordered, fully displaying the weaver's originality.
The "somewhat different rugs" are adorable in their own way, but there was something a little off about them.
As we took on this challenge, we realized that no matter how carefully we calculated our designs, we would never be able to express the "sense" and "balance" that the weavers possess unconsciously, a sense that transcends calculation.
This is how the Gabbeh, named "SEN," was born, a simple design for enjoying sheep.
By keeping it simple, I think we have created a product that highlights the natural gradation of the wool and the individuality of the weaver that is expressed in each line.
Q.What are the features of SEN?
Each piece is hand-woven by a Gabbeh weaver with roots in the nomadic people of southern Iran.
The base is made from soft, undyed wool yarn that feels nice to the touch, and the natural gradation of the different colors gives it enough expression and individuality, so we kept the design as simple as possible, focusing on the feel of a sheep.
The sheep you will meet there are all slightly different colors: white, brown, black, and gray.
Gabbeh is known for its long pile and soft feel underfoot, so we have woven colored lines into the carpet like a frame to create a simple, minimal impression while still retaining the comfort of Gabbeh.
Another feature is that the threads and pompoms used to sew the edges are made in simple colors.
Q.Please tell us what SEN is particular about!
We have ordered the color line to be tied in just one row so that it forms a single line, giving it a neat look.
The color pattern is blue, green, and yellow.
Another point to note is that not all rugs are the same color blue; the color varies from dark blue to light blue.
For the edges and pompoms, we spoke to the local Layout finishing craftsmen and had them create original pompoms with a simple two-tone edge.
Some Gabbeh lovers may think that it is too simple and does not look like a Gabbeh.
I can understand how you feel.
I just wanted to enjoy the sheep-like feel a little more.
It is said that the roots of Gabbeh were originally rugs woven from undyed wool with no designs, and I believe that the nomads of that time were the ones who felt the purest gratitude and respect for sheep.
With a feeling of gratitude towards these sheep, we would like to introduce SEN to you all.
