"Be careful not to get burned"

Hirai, who is finding it hard to get out of bed in the mornings due to the cold, would like to introduce a fun, hot rug with a two-layer structure, above and below ground.

This piece, with its attractive fiery red color reminiscent of bubbling magma, belongs to the Taimani people of Afghanistan.

My image of Taimani rugs is of soft, fluffy rugs with cute colors, but this one has a striking color scheme of red, blue, and white.

She's the type of girl who will firmly assert, "I belong here!", and I don't mind her asserting herself like that.

Earthly World

This mysterious mansion is marked by a tall chimney with a combination of red and blue colors that resemble a bar magnet.

The nine doors lined up side by side were sometimes open and sometimes closed.

I'm sure it must lead underground.
The suspicious atmosphere is evident even from the exterior on the ground.

Underground world

Let's go inside through the open door.

When I went through the game-like entrance, it led to the underground as expected.

It was a world of magma.
Burning red, gooey fruit sways from the large trees.

Be careful! If you get too close you could get seriously burned!
Spears and sharp rocks loomed from both sides.

You must carefully cross the only remaining blue road.

It looks like it's going to be a pretty hard adventure... I hardly ever play games, but this dungeon-like experience has me indulging in unrealistic fantasies that it reminds me of a nostalgic game!

Get a star

If you do your best and clear it, you will receive a star!

It's a star in the world of rugs, and although it has a slightly unique octagonal shape, it's one of my favorite motifs.

The interesting thing about the stars in this rug is that the vertical and horizontal rows have completely different styles.

Even if the same motif is woven with the same number of knots, depending on the balance of the warp and weft threads and the thickness of the knotting threads, the design may appear long and slim or flattened in vertical and horizontal rows.

One of my secret pleasures is finding the slender or plump motifs that meet at the corners of the border, the design that surrounds the outside, but this rug was a little different.

It's a clever idea, but it looks like they were afraid that the vertical rows of stars would be crushed due to the knot structure, so they adjusted the number of knots to balance it out and make it longer vertically.

I adjusted it, but I think I made it a little too long vertically, which resulted in a star that looked unbalanced.

It's a motif that any star would love, so it's just so cute!
Please enjoy Star, which gives you a glimpse of the weaver's care.

This rug seems like it would make you feel warm (hot?) just by being near it, so it would be great near a fireplace or would keep you warm outdoors too.
