"That guy I'm curious about"

I've been interested in this child ever since the day it arrived from Iran.
It's cute, cool, what kind of creature is it? It makes my emotions go haywire!

This time, I would like to tell you how much Hirai is always at the mercy of this rug.

Clean and smart

This kid's fringe is something else.
I like the fluffy, voluminous fringe, but I also like the neatly woven fringe, which gives a sleek impression.
The impression of a rug changes depending on the material and color of the fringe, but it also makes a difference whether it has fringe or not.

Furthermore, this is a "horizontal" Gabbeh, which is somewhat unusual for this size.
It's nicely finished and I'm happy with it.
The direction of the pile is a little different from usual, which is refreshing.

Going Against the Flow

Speaking of flow, if you look at the overall motif, you'll notice something.

The bright red creature in the middle is facing horizontally, while the tree of life with many branches is facing vertically.
The girl you can see is looking sideways like the lion, while my favorite camel is looking vertically...

You might think that the design is woven horizontally along the flow of the pile, but there are also motifs that go against the flow that is the traditional style of Gabbeh!

I think it would have been easier to weave if I had proceeded horizontally.

Since they deliberately rotate this part 90 degrees sideways when weaving it, I'm curious to know what the truth is.

In this particular section, the horizontal bird and the vertical animal come very close together.

Why are you lying down?
No, what position are you in?

They look at each other dumbfounded.

In short, it's a luxurious rug that can be enjoyed both vertically and horizontally!

Red creature

The center is definitely red. What do you think of this creature with round eyes?

It resembles a short-nosed tapir and also looks like a monster.
It has a granular pattern so it might be hail.

I would be happiest if everyone could interpret it however they like and enjoy it, but I think if I were to say something that sounds like something a rug shop owner would say, I would end up looking like a lion.

I think I've seen a stone lion statue on top of a tomb in Iran that looks similar to this one.

Even if that's the case, I would still like to love it as a ``strange red creature''!

You can't miss him

The girl in the center is lovely, but there's one person you can't miss who will make you take a double take.

What on earth happened?
There's a blue-faced Munch mask lying around.

It exists as if someone forgot to put the mask away after playing Munch's Scream.
This is quite noticeable, and my eyes are drawn to it even though my favorite dromedary camel is nearby.

Every time I pass by this rug in the store, my eyes meet it.

I've never seen a motif like this on a Gabbeh before...

There are plenty of other things to point out, but I'll wrap it up here as I could go on and on.

I want to put it in the living room!

It's so much fun to imagine this little guy in my living room, and I sometimes seriously think about how I would lay him out.

We rolled around and occasionally our eyes met. We admired the red creatures and the little camel...

This is a recommended rug for anyone looking for such a rug!
