Under the Shiraz Sky

Hirai's current favorite rug is this Gabbeh, which seems to emit a lot of negative ions.

I have seen many Gabbeh rugs with landscape designs, but when I look at this one, I am reminded of the scene of sheep grazing that I came across on the roadside in Shiraz.

The level of reproduction is high!

The mountain looks quite realistic, doesn't it? There's a proper shadow effect.

The clanging sound of the bells hanging from the sheep is so peaceful and soothing, and looking at this Gabbeh makes me feel relaxed and gentle.

I feel like I've seen this somewhere before...

Colorful rubber horse-shaped toys were popular when I was a child, and the colors and shape of this toy are very similar to those toys, bringing back fond memories.

If this makes sense to you, you're amazing! (laughs)

Wonderful imagination !

Some parts are highly accurate, while others show wonderful imagination!

The occasional large trees that grow there have a shape I've never seen before, and they look like they have something colorful in the middle. They look like futuristic plants that you might see in a manga.

The Tree of Life that appears on the rug is an imaginary tree, so it has many strange shapes and the same tree can have many different types of flowers blooming and bearing many different fruits, which makes it fun to see how free it is!

When I was a child, I didn't have any fixed ideas about how drawings should be, so I was able to draw lots of free-flowing pictures, but as I became an adult, I feel like I can no longer draw pictures that demonstrate that kind of imagination.

Shiraz's blue sky

The blue sky of Shiraz is also well expressed!

It's not a single color, but a gradation, which is a nice touch.

I love these points!

I look forward to looking at this Gabbeh and thinking about the day I can go to Shiraz again soon.

It was a negative ion Gabbeh that made me want to lie down and take a deep breath ♬
