Nausicaa's Shooting Star

If you look at my past posts, you may have noticed that I, Komatsu, have a deep respect for Hayao Miyazaki as my spiritual mentor, and I keep my Hayao antennae spread all over the place every day.
When I see something "Hayao-esque," my heart skips a beat! It's strange how my heart skips a beat, and I feel like I've found something special just for me, and it makes me feel a little happier.

And then we met again.
"Nausicaa Rug".
Of course, I'll introduce it to you.

Nausicaa color, or what I like to call "Nausicaa blue"
Especially when blue and pink are combined, the Nausicaa color suddenly becomes stronger.

Nausicaa's Spore Room

A mini lesson for those who don't know : The forest that pollutes the Earth with miasma... The plants in the Sea of ​​Decay excrete a poison called miasma, and if a human were to survive in the forest, their lungs would rot within five minutes.
The world in which Nausicaa lives is one in which it is impossible to live without wearing a mask.

However, in Nausicaä's underground room, the plants in the Sea of ​​Decay, which are grown in clean water, do not emit miasma. Rather, they purify the air and make it cleaner.
The earth was polluted by nuclear war, causing the soil to die and kill plants.
"Why did it have to come to this?" Nausicaa laments alone. In the end, it was humans who were to blame. How sad.

In this rug, animals coexist with spores.
This means that the film depicts the Earth as it should be, as envisioned by Nausicaa.
Even the cactus people are happy and raising their hands.
I just said something strange, but there are cactus people.

A shooting star whose wish didn't come true

It looks like something else too... Yes, it's meant to resemble stars passing by.
It is said that if you make a wish on a shooting star three times, your wish will come true. However, it is extremely difficult to make a wish three times on a shooting star that disappears in an instant.
A shadow (that was me) stood there, stunned, looking up at the sky that had vanished, leaving only an afterimage behind.

How about a shooting star that couldn't grant your wish falling onto the rug and waiting to make your wish come true?
This rug has lots of wishing stars.

I'm sure Nausicaa would dream of a world where humans, nature, and animals can live in harmony together.

I really love the design, color, and atmosphere, but it's a really long rug.
It's so long that it's hard to decide where to lay it, but you can lay it by the window in the living room, or in the hallway.
