Hello! It's been a while.
This is Komatsu, who remembers graduating from dressmaking school a long, long time ago and thinking about making some clothes, created a pattern and put away his sewing tools with satisfaction.
At the Nakameguro store, the cherry blossom season has subsided and we are now in the glorious season of fresh green leaves sparkling with greenery.
The colors that interest me change constantly depending on the season, but lately I've been drawn to the color green.
So, this time I'd like to introduce you to some rugs from my favorite tribe, the Kashgai.
I have boasted to the staff that I definitely want to own a Kashgai rug someday, so I can talk enthusiastically about the appeal of Kashgai rugs forever.

This is a calm, mature, classical color. It's more of a calm blue-green than a fresh green color. I'd like to use a stylish analogy, but that's the only color I can think of.
It's the color of "green laver" and "seaweed soup" that are familiar to Japanese people. It's perfect for Japanese food! It's so relaxing!
This design is inspired by an antique lace throw I found at a flea market in Europe.
This is what I call the design (long)
It reminds me of an elderly lady (wearing round glasses) sitting in a reclining chair by a lake in the Czech Republic, knitting gloves, with delicate lace hanging from her lap. (Does that remind you?)

If you look closely, you will see designs of girls wearing skirts along with animals and flowers.
I think it's probably a Kashgai woman, but she has completely changed from a cool, mature, antique look to a charming one. I think Kashgai are great at creating cute designs that make you feel relaxed. Maybe they like this kind of charming design, regardless of age or gender, and when I think about it, even a tough-looking man with a beard from a faraway foreign country starts to look cute.
One of the reasons I love Kashgai rugs is that their designs can be enjoyed two or even three times.
Because it's wool...

What I love most about Kashgai is its soft texture. The dense weave and the soft, secure hold make me want to get wrapped up in it. I usually forget to do the dishes at night and just close my eyes for a bit on the rug, but I end up going on a long, dreamy trip. This large Kashgai is big enough to wrap me up even when I'm lying down, and its size and holding power will lull me into a comfortable sleep without having to count sheep. Because it's wool.

The appeal of this rug lies in its base color, which is an exquisite shade of gray and brown.
There are some cute colored sheep.
As expected, there was a painting by that master hidden there.

Whenever I find something I really like, there is always something hidden that reminds me of the great master, and this rug was no exception.
In Laputa: Castle in the Sky, there is a single, kind-hearted robot soldier who takes care of the garden and looks after the birds. We have also captured the figure of this "lovable robot soldier" in Kashgai's paradise.
He looks so happy surrounded by flowers and animals, it makes you feel like you never want to destroy this world.

In that case, this rug can be a relaxing drink of seaweed soup, an antique lace lap blanket, or even Laputa's paradise. Either way, it's a gentle world for sure. Rugs are fascinating and interesting because they inspire all sorts of fantasies.
Qashqai rugs have a truly infinite appeal, ranging from delicate types with fine weaves to designs that exude the powerful vitality they have cultivated through their daily lives.
There's still a lot more to talk about, but it's getting a little hot, so let's meet in store to continue!
