"Feeling like a fish🐡♪"

Hello!
The sun is gradually getting stronger as we enter the season, but are you fully prepared to protect yourself from the sun and heat?
"If it's this hot in June, what will it be like in summer?" is the same thing I say every year at this time of year. But it's so hot and humid that it makes me want to say it!
This time we will introduce you to a refreshing Gabbeh that looks and feels smooth and comfortable even on such hot days!

The gradation that catches your eye at first glance is truly impressive.
The other day, I was reminded of the color of the sea off Kashiwajima that I saw in a Kochi Prefecture pamphlet.
The water is so clear that the boat looks like it's floating in the air! It's a little far from the airport, but it's definitely a place you'll want to visit at least once.
Please search for "Kashiwajima, Kochi Prefecture."

When you lie down on the refreshing Gabbeh carpet, which evokes the blue of Kashiwajima, you will feel as if you are in the ocean.
Pink and blue fish swim swiftly in the pale ocean.

In the world of rugs, the letter S is said to ward off evil spirits, and inside this rug you look just like a little fish. The curve of the S evokes the image of a swimming fish, swaying and wriggling.
Everyone lined up in a row and behaved well ◎

The painting also depicts the sunlight shining brightly on the water's surface, so much so that you can practically hear the sound of the waves lapping.

The yellow line in the middle looks like a mystical sandy beach that only appears at low tide.

The colors become more chic and deeper as you go down both sides of the rug.
There are many fish that stay still, and I couldn't see any swimming in the deep sea.

It's not just the color gradation that's noteworthy.
The fringe on both sides of this rug is woven in, but when you flip it over you'll see that the woven parts are accented with soft green and yellow colors!
It cannot be seen from the outside, and is a part that is usually hidden, but you can feel the weaver's attention to detail in wanting to make it cute precisely because it is hidden.

Another point to note is the color scheme of the edges.
Gabbeh rugs often have edges finished in two colors, but this one has a different color to match the pile!
It is common for different craftsmen to finish the pile and the edges, but I was touched by the craftsman's sense and consideration for this rug.
This is a focal point when the rug is placed horizontally, so rather than making it stand out with a different color scheme, it's nice to create a sense of unity by using the same color scheme as the pile.

On your days off, you can lie down on the rug, stroke it gently, read a book, or even take a nap.
When you stare at it, you'll feel like you've become a fish.
