"Begging Lion"

My recommended rug this time is this one, which is the most surreal and full of things to poke fun at out of all the rugs we have recently received, and the more you look at it the more you will grow to love it.

There are so many points here and there that I don't know where to start.

First, here's the main thing

Are these two women sisters or best friends? They have slender figures and wear beautiful dresses with ease. The scarves and hair accessories are also lovely. Are they holding potted flowers? They're holding tulips. Perhaps they're going to use them as home decor? Or maybe they're buying them as a gift for a friend?

My imagination is running wild. But I'm a little curious about the cross-eyed look of the beautiful woman. And it's the two of them, and it's starting to look like a Kabuki mie pose.

She has beautiful eyes, but... it's a bit disappointing. No, it's part of her charm!

Two cute but impressive white lions

Although her face is a little flat, her eyes with big eyelashes are adorable, and her pure white hair is also beautiful. The way her hair flows looks like an arrow (↑) or a musical note (♫) is also charming.

This rug also features a lot of surreal animals.

Deer? Stag?! ...Goat? ?

What's with that look in your eyes?

It's like they're being told, "Yes, yes, just do it," and they're reluctantly putting their hands up.
But this one is still better.

I don't even want to look at this kid.

He's very muscular, and I'm also curious about that long horn-like thing.

What's more, there are four of them inside the rug...!

This pink and light blue deer is a very space-like techno deer!

There are actually two deer in the deer picture! Their impressive antlers are also drawn.

The plump, duck-like bird is vibrantly colorful.

It looks so cool walking with dignity, and this is the only one that is beautifully woven.

This means that there are many different creatures that are missing their upper bodies!

And then there's "that thing" sitting on top of it, so I wonder how it all ended up like this...

Only the person who wove it knows...

And the final blow is the strangeness of the placement of everything!!

This rug is completely freehand.

The mystery just deepens...

This rug has a fun pattern, but it's not just the pattern that's beautiful; it's also smooth and soft to the touch, thick, and made with great care.

I personally really like the flowers on the frame and the change in the red thread, and the gentle old-fashioned feel gives it a nice atmosphere.

I also imagine it must have been extremely difficult to weave a rug with a horizontal pattern (and of this size) vertically.

Maybe it was because of the confusion, but there are some vertical pictures mixed in here and there lol

The chaos is the best!

I feel like I could become friends with Oriko, who plays so carefully and seriously, and I feel a sense of closeness to her.

Don't you feel like you've gained something by knowing that just looking at it will make your days more enjoyable and happy?

These days, I think it would be nice to live a quiet life while admiring such a rug.
