"Spring in full bloom"

Hello everyone.

The weather has been pleasant lately, and the city is starting to take on spring-like colors.
The cherry blossoms along the Meguro River are expected to be at their best next week.

The rug we are introducing this time is one that truly fits the word "cute."
The colors and designs are just perfect for spring.

First of all, I think the most attractive thing about this rug is the use of color.
I'm sure many people will be excited by this use of color at first sight.

No matter which part you look at, you can see the weaver's playfulness in the way it is woven, not in a single color, but in a mottled mixture of multiple colors.
By using multiple colors, the color scheme, which may seem childish, has depth.

The base pink is closer to orange at the bottom,
The top is a pinkish purple.

I once heard a certain model say on TV that there are 200 shades of white.
If there are 200 shades of white, there are far too many pinks.
The pink flowers and butterflies on the pink background are also a cute touch.

The diamonds at the top and bottom are a nice accent color to prevent this rug from being too sweet.
It looks like a "flower water basin" with colorful flowers floating on the water.

"Flower water basin" is a bowl of water in the water basin where you purify your hands and mouth when praying at a shrine or temple, with fresh flowers floating in it.
In recent years, when hand washing has often been banned due to the coronavirus, it is said that this custom has spread throughout the country as a way to soothe people's hearts.
(Originally, it seems to have referred to the practice of purifying oneself with flower dew instead of water.)

If you look closely, you'll see that the calming color scheme is a mix of blue with gray and purple.
Even though the rug has a bright impression, it provides a soothing feeling like a flower water basin.

This rug is full of spring vibes with its vibrant color design.
When I think of spring, I somehow think of the smell of the earth.

I think this is probably due to the memories I have from growing up in the countryside.
On a sunny day, I planted bulbs, picked flowers, and found larvae in the soil.
I feel like spring is a season where I get to touch the soil in the fields and flower beds a lot.

Perhaps that's why, when I saw this rug, rather than the pleasant scent of flowers,
The impression I got was that it reminded me of the earthy smell of a flower field and the green smell of plants!

But it wasn't an unpleasant feeling, it felt somehow nostalgic and familiar.

It's amazing how just looking at a rug can evoke memories and sensations.

This is a piece that will make you feel like you're sitting on a rug and relaxing in a flower field.
