Hello everyone, this is staff member OK. I went to the Katsushika Hokusai exhibition and before I knew it, three hours had passed. In his later years, he called himself "The Mad Artist Manji," and the name really exudes madness. It was amazing.
The rug I'd like to introduce to you is a very cool rug that made me think "It looks like something out of a picture book!" the moment I saw it. I'm going to ignore the comments that say I've already introduced it on Instagram and go ahead and carry on.
This time, while introducing the rug, I will tell you about this leopard that came to my mind the moment I saw it. This is a new type of Rug is Good, so please bear with me.
"The Story of the Leopard Who Lost His Pattern"

It's the story of a leopard who wakes up one day to find that all his spots have disappeared and he is completely smooth.
Where did the remaining specks go?
The leopard has almost completely lost its black spots, leaving only the tips of its paws and nose.
Sister wiping away tears
The leopard, who has lost his spots and is crying bitterly, is given a large handkerchief by the sisters to cheer him up. It's quite large, isn't it? The sisters are very kind.

On the flower path
The leopard traveled far and wide in search of the lost pattern, and one day came across a beautiful road filled with flowers. The leopard had become hungry from searching for the pattern, so he gobbled down one of the flowers.
It bloomed!
Immediately, small white flowers began to bloom on the leopard's body. With each flower he ate, another pattern appeared. By the time he had eaten all the flowers in front of him, many flowers had bloomed on his body.

Is something missing?
But there were still a few patterns missing. The birds appeared and said, "Use this!" They gave us some white, round, pearl-like patterns. Now the leopard's body was completely covered with patterns.
A nice thing I got
The leopard was delighted to have a much more beautiful pattern than the small black spots he had at first. The leopard had been sad when the pattern disappeared, but now he was happy to have a more beautiful pattern.

The end.
I was impressed by the wonderful idea of the weaver who wove this rug, a leopard with flowers all over its body. This Iranian rug is woven with strange-looking creatures. Every time I look at it, I can't help but imagine the story that takes place before and after. I hope you all enjoy looking at the rug from different angles!
