"TERIYAKI Tribal"

The cherry blossoms along the Meguro River have calmed down and we are gradually entering the beautiful season of fresh greenery.

I love this season. The air feels both warm and cool, and the bright, sparkling sun makes me feel excited about the coming summer, and the flowers bloom beautifully as if they've been waiting for this! That's why I love it so much.

The other day, I had a picnic in the park, soothed by the sunlight filtering through the young trees.

And this time, I found a rug that I personally think is trendy and made me go, "Oh?", so I'd like to introduce it to you.

This is TERIYAKI.

The title is "TERIYAKI Tribal." Some of you may be thinking, "I feel like I've heard that somewhere before?"
Yes, I tried to use the title of the previous post by Manager Komatsu lol

Yes, it reminded me of the teriyaki chicken I packed in my lunch box at the picnic the other day.

Am I the only one who noticed the glossy, high-quality shine and the fragrant, sweet-salty aroma the moment I unfolded it?

This is the order

Here is the reverse

Can you tell from the photos how glossy and shiny it is?

On a personal note, my daughter started elementary school this year! She's a brand new first grader, and as a parent, it's quite an emotional moment for me. I took her to the after-school care center in the afternoon with a packed lunch, and teriyaki chicken was a big hit there too. Of course, she loves it!

This one also seems to come with a rug lunch box, and even a fork is provided.

The colorful balan is also lovely, and the appearance of a bento is also important!

Next to it is another classic shumai, with a single green pea on top. The other day, when our president was on a business trip, he was looking for a shumai bento from XXX store, but it was sold out outside, so he reluctantly bought another bento, but there were plenty of them inside, so of course he bought them and devoured both of them (was that unnecessary information? lol).

Actually, there are a lot of different flavors of shumai!

Teriyaki is a favorite food of everyone, enjoyed by people of all ages and genders, from children to adults. The other day, a TV show was aired in which people from overseas were interviewed on the street and asked, "What is your favorite food in Japan?", to which one person answered, "Oh! TE-RI-YA-KI!"
It's now a part of Japanese food culture.

Teriyaki isn't just about chicken
Pork loin and fish such as yellowtail and swordfish are also available.
Once you make it into a sauce, you can put it on so many different things. By the way, I like to add a little balsamic vinegar and it's delicious!

Teriyaki is made with soy sauce, sake, mirin, and sugar.
The shine comes from the carbohydrates in mirin and sugar, but another key factor is the fat released from the ingredients; it is this oil and sugar that create the irresistible gloss.

Teriyaki chicken is the absolute best, buddy, but yes, Mr. Mayo!
Dip it in plenty of mayonnaise, pop it in your mouth, and then immediately stuff your face with hot rice (I prefer shredded Gabbeh or cabbage, I always make the mistake...), and voila! Everyone will be smiling.

Why am I talking so passionately about teriyaki?
Ah! Yes, it was because I found this rug haha.

Why not spread out such a delicious-looking rug on the lawn and have a picnic while eating rice balls and teriyaki chicken in the dazzling sunlight filtering through the fresh green leaves?

The kilim end is also lovely.

This time, Rug is Good had a lot of chatter, but thank you for reading.
See you next time!
