Journey Rug In Iran
Nice to meet you all.
This month's column will be a relaxed talk about rugs recommended by our new staff member, T.
This time, I would like to introduce this rug.

The excitement never stops
I can't tell you how shocked I was when I saw this tribal rug...
It was so cute I was struck by lightning!
It has a very unusual design and depicts a map of Iran.
Layout has many unusual rugs, such as lion rugs and rugs depicting scenes from poetry, but I was particularly struck by this unique rug.
This time, we will introduce every detail of the Journey In Iran Rug (named by Staff T), which will make you feel like you're traveling to Iran.
Treasure Map
Iran is apparently divided into provinces, and these are also color-coded by province. The gentle reds, blues, and yellows, as well as the slightly chemical pink, are quite startling.
What on earth is in the Pink State?
I can't read Persian, but when I look at this map, I feel like Magellan or Marco Polo looking at a treasure map from the Age of Discovery, and it makes me excited.
Speaking of seas, Iran faces the Caspian Sea to the north and the Persian Gulf and the Gulf of Oman to the south.
If you look closely at this map...

The sea is depicted...!
This appears to say Persian Gulf, but if you look closely you can see that it has a pattern that represents waves...
This is one of the rug's endearing features, as it shows the maker's meticulous attention to detail.
The patterns, distortions of lines, and each expression are the charm of handwoven rugs.
When I imagine a rug and the weaver behind it, I feel a deep sense of love.
Iran's Ino Tadataka?
Although it's rare, map lag does appear from time to time.
When I asked Layout's buyer, Mr. H, why such a rug exists, he said he didn't know either.
My subjective guess is that there must have been a great person in Iran like Ino Tadataka, and that the tradition of weaving silk threads was started in honor of his achievements...
My thoughts turn to the distant land of Iran
This rug measures 56cm x 60cm and can be used flexibly to suit your mood, whether you place it at the foot of your sofa or in your entryway, or hang it on the wall.
My recommendation is to hang it on the wall as art.
This graphic rug will add a little fun to your room.
Layout will be holding an Autumn Sale from September 21st (Sat) to October 7th (Mon)!
Please come and meet our new rugs from Iran!!
