It's been a while. This is Komatsu.
Preparations for the Cherry Blossom Festival lanterns have begun in Nakameguro.
The world is preparing for spring.
This recommended piece is especially recommended for those who want to completely change the impression of their living room as they start their new life in spring, and who want to create a lively space where the family can naturally gather.
This living room-sized Gabbeh features a fresh color like a freshly picked orange.

Orange is the color of the sun, and is said to improve luck in travel, wealth, and relationships . Dr. Copa , who was once a huge hit, said on TV, "You should incorporate feng shui into your life. I built my company building in a prime location in Ginza, so you can trust me." I couldn't argue.
Despite being in this industry, I had no interest in Feng Shui at all, but this quote from Mr. Copa made me say, "I see!" and I was thrilled.
Another recommended feature is the design, which features a cypress, a typical Gabbeh motif, framed like a picture frame.
Two animals are meeting under a cypress tree. I would call this a romantic design.
As many of you may know, cypress is known in Gabbeh as a motif that represents wishes for health and longevity.
Perhaps it was natural to weave the "vitality and mystique" of plants that take root in soil that is not suitable for them and grow straight up into the sky into Gabbeh rugs.
"Cypresses" reminds me of Van Gogh's signature motif
If "Sunflowers," with the same striking vibrant orange color as this Gabbeh, represents a bright, "sunny" image, then the Cypresses, which he continued to paint while recuperating after an illness, are sometimes said to represent a "dark" image.
Personally, I am fascinated by the multiple paintings of cypress trees that he painted before his death, which resemble obelisks illuminated by moonlight and give the impression of a prayer for life. I wonder if the nomads and painters of long ago also felt a sense of prayer or wish in the sight of a single , straight, towering cypress tree.
As a Gabbeh user,
Thickness is important for Gabbeh, but I find it more primitive and attractive when it has a soft, smooth texture, or rather a sturdy, strong sheep-like feel.
Praying for and hoping for "family happiness" for the new life ahead
It's also a good way to spend time feeling the sheep on a sunny-colored Gabbeh.
Isn't that right?
