[ Brown gradation ]
The most striking feature is the tasteful and melancholic gradation of the brown base.
A calming brown that you'll want to look at forever.
Like a desert, like a geological layer...
This gradation that appears on rugs is called ablash. With undyed yarn, ablash occurs due to differences in the color of the animal's fur, while with dyed yarn, ablash occurs due to uneven dyeing caused by oils and other factors.
Why is Abraxas so captivating?
The irregular and unstructured shades of color seem to have an aura that cannot be expressed by a machine.
I believe that trees, leaves, petals, sand, stones, the color of the sea... none of the things that exist in nature are made of a single color.
If you look closely, you will see many colors overlapping next to each other. Perhaps this is something that people naturally seek out.
As a camel lover, I think this brown part might be camel hair, which makes me even more curious.
Some Baluchi people live alongside camels, so camel hair is sometimes used in rugs.
[Pure white border and hidden animals ]
The border is decidedly pure white. It is surrounded by a wavy ribbon with a swirling design. To me, it evokes the image of a gentleman dressed sharply in a white shirt. When you stand a little further away from the rug, the white part is emphasized and seems to stand out even more, which is a strange sensation.
And let's not forget the hidden animal, hidden in the dark blue.
Something like this happened the other day.
I was in the store with a customer and we were showing him another Baluchi rug.
I was admiring the rather sophisticated rug, thinking how cool it was, when I suddenly spotted a hidden animal: a bird that had been there for months without anyone noticing.
If I had to describe the excitement I felt when I discovered Tori-chan, it would be like "I've seen the playful side of a great, cool movie actor!"
He's already cool, but now he has that cute side to him!? It's a double whammy.
Since then, I've grown to love that rug even more.

There are many places to use it
If I were to use it at home, I would first place it in front of the TV stand in the living room, where it is easily visible. Because it is long and narrow, I have a feeling it will balance well with the TV stand.
You can sit on the sofa and watch them, or approach them and stroke them with your hands or sit on them to enjoy them.
I might change my mind and move it to the bedside someday. The closet is nearby, so having a rug is convenient. It's cool and comfortable even when I take off my slippers and walk barefoot.
If you want a change of mood, head to the kitchen.
As you can see, this rug is thin even among tribal rugs, so even women can easily move it around, which is another attractive feature of this rug!
This is a piece that you can enjoy placing side by side or layering it with smaller rugs to find your own favorite way to use it.
