How I found out about Layout
I was looking for a rug and happened to come across it on Instagram.
What made you want a rug?
The rug I had been using for a long time had deteriorated, so I wanted to replace it with a nice, beautiful rug that I could use for the rest of my life.
The deciding factor in choosing the rug
I was drawn to the mysterious and unique design, featuring lots of deer and birds!
In addition to the design of the rug, the atmosphere and service of the store and staff were also major deciding factors. I visited the Nakameguro store twice, and both times the staff were very helpful, which helped me find the rug that I thought was "the one!" Thank you very much!
My impressions after laying the rug
Just by changing the rug, the impression of the whole room has changed dramatically! It's fun to see how the impression of the rug (and the impression of the room) changes depending on the angle of the light and the time of day.
I used to just walk on my previous rug in slippers, but I want to take good care of my new rug, which has a handmade feel, so I take off my slippers before using it, just like I would when stepping on a tatami mat.
Concerns and concerns about lag
It seems to be the perfect material for cats to sharpen their claws, and I'm worried that my cat has already started happily sharpening his claws on it, but I'm going to have to scold him and train him properly (lol).
My cat regularly coughs up hairballs, so I'd like to know if there's a way to clean up the rug when it does.
Other advice for those looking for a rug
When I was searching for a rug, I came across many online and in stores, but I felt like, "It's cute! But I can't decide... (I don't know how to decide)." But after visiting the Layout store, I was able to decide right away! The staff listened to my home's interior and preferences before making suggestions, so I was able to find a design I liked right away. If you're having trouble finding something that really catches your eye, I recommend visiting a store first!
