What made you want a rug?
There were several Gabbeh rugs in the room where I stayed in Yufuin. I thought I'd like to have one in my room. I was considering putting it in the entrance or under the desk.
The deciding factor in choosing the rug
The color (red with a pattern that isn't too bold) and size are a perfect fit for my desk.
My impressions after laying the rug
Not only is it functional, providing stability and warmth underfoot, but it also creates a cozy atmosphere in the room. I'm an indoor person by nature, but it seems I'll be going outside less and less.
