Question 1. How did you find out about Layout online?

KH: I saw the magazine and it seems to be BRUTUS...

KK: I found out about it when I saw it in a magazine while I was looking for a rug.

Question 2. What made you want a rug?

KH: The room felt cold and impersonal, so I wanted to add some warmth to it with a bright rug. Also, I can place the rug on top of the heated carpet.

KK: When we decided to get rid of the dining table and eat meals sitting on the floor at a low table, we bought this to protect ourselves from the cold flooring.

I couldn't find any affordable rugs that I liked, so I started looking into handmade rugs that I could use and love for a long time.

Question 3. What made you choose the rug?

KH: I was attracted by the vivid red color and the mysterious star-like pattern. Just looking at it makes me feel cheerful.

KK: I fell in love at first sight when a staff member casually showed me this piece! The unique color and vivid purple that evoke a sense of nostalgia, the versatile size, and the fact that I could place it anywhere I wanted and enjoy it for a long time, meant I bought it without even thinking about where I would specifically put it.

Question 4. What are your impressions after laying the rug?

KH: It's cute. It's adorable. I want more. I want to put more and more in all sorts of places. This rug has made the room look even brighter. It's sturdy, so it's colorful but doesn't make the room look cheap, and I'm very happy with it.

KK: I tried putting it in various places, such as the entrance, in front of the closet, and in front of the stairs, but I found that it felt most natural in an empty spot in the living room.

I'd love to place a large potted plant next to it... Rugs are an exciting addition to any interior design project.

My husband said, "It's great that the rug we had laid down earlier seems to have made a friend!"

Question 5. What are your concerns or worries about lag?

KH: How do I clean up a spilled dark drink like wine or cola? I've heard it's easy, but I'm worried about what to do if something does spill.

KK: It's a little soft, so I'm worried that if I put a stool on it, it might get dented and leave a mark.

Question 6. Do you have any other advice for people looking for a rug?

KH: "It took me a few visits to the store before I found a rug that I was happy with, but the staff were always so kind and helpful that I was able to choose the perfect one. It's not a cheap purchase, so I think it's very important to buy from a store with trustworthy staff."

The staff at Layout are very helpful and willing to give advice even after the purchase. I'm looking forward to spending many years with my rug.

KK: When I go to Layout, the staff introduces me to the rugs with a lot of love. The service is just like a warm, handmade rug. I hope they will introduce me to the good points of rugs.

They each chose their favorite, and we have received their reports three months later.

Question 7. What are the benefits of having a rug?

The room looks brighter. Having my favorite things in the room I spend every day makes me feel brighter. It keeps my bottom warm in the winter, and it's great to be able to put a heated carpet underneath.

Question 8. What problems have you had with using a rug?

You'll want to spread it out in all sorts of places.

I get very anxious when I spill food on the white part.

Question 9: Please tell us how you usually care for your product.

I vacuum once a week, and when food spills, I just wipe it up with water.

Question 10. How does it feel to use?

I sometimes lay it on the floor and use it as a cushion, and it's very comfortable to sit on and doesn't hurt my bottom.

Question 11. Are Layout's rugs worth more than their price?

I'm looking forward to growing old with it. One of the charms of it is being able to enjoy the changes that occur over the decades.

Question 12. Do you have any other thoughts about using rugs or advice for people looking for rugs?

At first I thought it was expensive, but assuming you use a 200,000 yen rug for 60 years, it will cost about 3,000 yen per year, so I think it's very cost-effective.
