How I found out about Layout
I saw a lovely rug at a friend's house and he recommended it to me.
What made you want a rug?
Since it's a chair I sit in all the time, I wanted to create a warm atmosphere.
The deciding factor in choosing the rug
I was hoping for something dark and subdued, but the red rug they showed me was so beautiful and calming that it took my breath away, and my eyes were drawn to it.
The store staff showed me lots of different pieces, so it was fun thinking about colour combinations, and they also explained the meaning of the patterns and the wonder and fun of handmade items, which helped me decide on four pieces.
My impressions after laying the rug
I was surprised at how much a rug can create a warmer atmosphere. It has become a very relaxing space.
Other advice for those looking for a rug
I had my preferences and the size I wanted, but as I talked with the staff at the rug specialist store, my needs changed and I found new ideas.
