How I found out about Layout
I purchased furniture for my new home from ACTUS, and the person in charge recommended a rug from Layout.
What made you want a rug?
It all started with my dream of living in a space with beautiful furniture and rugs like those in Yuriko Ishida's home, where both humans and animals could live freely. Another reason was that my cat, who lives with me, developed epilepsy last year, and I wanted to create a safe area for him in case he had any symptoms.
The deciding factor in choosing the rug
We visited the store twice. The first time, they told us about the rugs' origins and the characteristics of their patterns. The second time, we couldn't decide on two, so they sent us two that we liked using the Omiai service, and this Persian rug was the perfect fit for both my husband and I. The people at Layout are wonderful, and their love for rugs made it a lot of fun talking with us as we chose.
My impressions after laying the rug
When I saw the Persian rug in the store, I wondered if it was too elegant, but when I laid it down, I was surprised to find that it fit perfectly into the space without clashing with the sofa. The fine weave, the different expressions it has depending on the angle you look at it from, and the feeling of being covered when you step on it are amazing! I'm even more excited about living in my new home.
