How I found out about Layout
A friend introduced me to a rug for our entryway, and I recently purchased one. I had been very interested in old rugs, so when I actually held one in my hands, I was even more captivated by its charm.
What made you want a rug?
I always enjoy watching their Instagram posts and live performances. I was inspired by a beautiful rug that a staff member was holding during a live performance, and it stayed in my head even the next day.
The friend who introduced me to Layout was surprised to find out that they had that exact rug on backorder, and so I accompanied him to the store to take a look.
The deciding factor in choosing the rug
I fell in love at first sight with the diamond-like motif and small green sparkling in the center of the sophisticated black base color. The accent points on the large surface give the overall look a more refined look, and somehow reminded me of the combination of a kimono and an obidome. It felt like it had successfully tickled my Japanese DNA. The thin, worn texture and beautiful shine were also factors that made me decide to purchase it.
(I'm also grateful to my friend who casually handed over the purchase rights to me. I really enjoyed talking about rugs with my friend and chatting with the staff.)

My impressions after laying the rug
After deciding to purchase it, I thought about where to put it. There was just the right amount of space in front of the side chest, and when I tried them out, they fit perfectly. I really liked the color combination of the chest and rug, and I think it has added to the interior design. It's also a size that can be used in a variety of places, so I think I can enjoy it for a long time, even if my lifestyle changes.

Concerns and worries about lag
Nothing in particular.
Other advice for those looking for a rug
I have an elderly dog, so I had given up on buying a rug for a long time due to concerns about accidents, but since he only lives in the living room, I decided to take the plunge and buy one for the entrance! If there are people out there who are even slightly interested in rugs but are unsure about the same thing, I would encourage you to try one out, even if it's just a small size that will cause less damage, such as hanging it on the wall or placing it on a chest. It will open up a whole new world!
