This month's recommendation [December 2019]

My life with rugs

It's been about seven years since my first impactful encounter with rugs... The first one that captured my heart was a Baluchi player rug. I was completely captivated by the sophisticated and cool colors and the design, which was a shape I'd never seen before!

I remember wanting to see the real thing with my own eyes, walking back and forth in front of the carpet shop many times, and finally finally getting inside, feeling nervous.

The first rug I brought home was also a Baluchi player rug!

The rug that I used to use in my room at my parents' house is still useful in the living room even now that I've moved out.

Dreamy rugs

Among all the Shiraz rugs, the one that really appeals to me is this one, which is colorful yet somehow comforting, and is filled with lots of small motifs.

The motifs of animals, birds, and talismans are woven in to fill in the gaps, making it impossible to get bored of looking at them.

I often make new discoveries, like, "I didn't notice it at first, but there's an animal hiding here!" All sorts of imaginations run wild in my head, and my dreams just keep expanding...

My favorites are the fringe made from fluffy beige and brown wool, and the old rug with its sparkling knots.

The free-flowing and free-flowing designs of these rugs make me excited when I go to buy them! They seem to be looking at the rugs intently...

The rug looks really beautiful in the sunlight!

How I enjoy my rugs

Since we moved our Shiraz rug to the window, we have had a new source of enjoyment!

On a sunny morning, when you open the curtains, the sunlight pours onto the rug, making the pile sparkle and shine pleasantly.

When I gaze at them, I feel very happy.

Another little pleasure is looking down at the rugs, each placed next to the other like a puzzle.

I like the gap between the rugs so that just a little bit of the flooring is visible, and the camel Gabbeh on the chair and the long, thin Pakistani rug on the right fit in diagonally - this is the best position for me!

I like what I like

I've now redecorated a bit, placing an old Shiraz under the dining table and the first Baluchi rug I bought in front of the sofa right next to it.

Every day I realize that whether it's the rug I chose seven years ago or the rug I choose recently, I still like what I like.

Just like listening to a piece of music you loved a long time ago and remembering yourself back then, when you suddenly come across a rug that you thought was great back then, you remember the excitement and thrill you felt when you first came across it.

I don't have a clear idea of what kind of interior I want, but I would like to choose not only rugs but also furniture and tableware, as comfortable companions one by one, and live together in my home.

I would be happy if you could choose your rug at Layout in the same way.
