FAH Co., Ltd. Sueyoshi Hiroki's serial blog 7.
This is the seventh time.
Whenever I see the number '7', the words 'Lucky Seven' come to mind.
It's a very auspicious number, so I believe good things will happen, and I'm going to write a blog post about it again.
To begin with, I was curious about the origins of Lucky Seven, so I decided to do my usual research.
Quoted below.
On September 30, 1885, during the seventh inning of the Chicago White Stockings' batting, a fly ball was hit by the wind and became a home run, which was the deciding factor in the White Stockings winning the championship. The winning pitcher, John Clason, called this the "lucky seventh," and this is said to be the origin of the " lucky seven ."
From the Internet.
In 100 years, this little story will become a phrase used by people all over the world.
When I think about it...
A few words on this blog may become a common language around the world 100 years from now.
With that in mind, I thought I'd write this blog post again.
Now, let's get to the main topic.
What is a bedroom?
Up until now, I have been thinking about and writing about the "dining room" and "living room" in my own way.
The house is defined by space.
Thinking about it again, it's surprisingly difficult to put into words.
This time it's "Bedroom"
This can simply be described as a place to sleep.
That's what I thought.
But here's where it's important to dig deeper.
As always...
I also looked into "Bedroom".
A bedroom is a room in a house or dwelling that is devoted to sleeping and resting.
It is also called a sleeping room. In Japan, it is classified as a living room under the Building Standards Act.
Bedding varies from culture to culture.
It doesn't necessarily have to be a room with a bed.
From Wikipedia
There are differences depending on the culture.
I found this very interesting.
Indeed, Japan has a culture of futons.
Recently, we often suggest beds, but there are still a certain number of people who say they prefer futons.
I usually sleep in bed, but when I go to a ryokan or inn, I feel an indescribable sense of relaxation when I sleep in a futon.
Sleep is an essential part of life for humans
Bedrooms have evolved in a variety of places
It might be interesting to delve into bedrooms around the world.
Back to the topic.
It is such an important space that there is a famous catchphrase, "One-third of your life is spent sleeping."
Here, I would like to write down the words that come to mind when I imagine the bedroom in order to redefine it.
sleep.
Dozing off.
Unconsciously.
It feels good.
dark.
Rolling around.
Quite a private space.
Is it something like this?
Write down what's next. The words that come to mind.
It was "element and nothingness."
"A place where you can become nothing but yourself"
In the first place, a home itself is a place of "naturalness," but I think the "bedroom" is especially special.
Aren't there many people who don't want others to see their bedroom?
I think it's a space that really shows your true self.
If it is a "stress-free space where you can be yourself and feel happy," then can we say that it is a "good bedroom"?
Something that makes you feel good by being ``natural'' and becoming ``nothing.''
A comfortable mattress.
Comfortable futon.
A comfortable light stand lamp.
A rug that you'll want to step on barefoot first thing in the morning.
When I wrote down the things I would put in my bedroom again, I realized once again that having things that are comfortable and relaxing makes a big difference in the space.
If you think about it, the bedroom is where we spend a lot of time unconsciously.
The bedroom is a place where you can be yourself.
The day is over.
The day begins.
In fact, the bedroom is where I spend the most time.
What is a bedroom?
How about calling it a "place where you can aim for a wonderful unconscious"?
