Hello, this is Kumai from Layout.
With the arrival of May, the hay fever has subsided and it feels good to breathe the fresh air outside.
This morning, as soon as I woke up, I was staring blankly outside from the landing of my apartment building.
I just stared into the distance without thinking about anything, but the cool morning air cleared my head.

I remember when I was little, I loved lying down in my grandmother's garden and watching the clouds go by.
Homemade sweets and mail-order sweets
It seems like a lot of people have been enjoying homemade sweets since the stay-at-home period began.
I was surprised to see that flour ranked sixth and whipped cream ranked seventh in the ranking of best-selling products since the self-restraint declaration was made.
It seems that pancake mix is also in short supply.
There is a particularly high demand for families with small children.
Recently, Disney has released an official churro recipe, and easy dessert recipes have been introduced on TV and the internet, so I, who only make sweets around Valentine's Day, wanted to try making something myself, but I also wanted something simple, so I made this.

I'm not sure if French toast can still be called baking (lol).
But it was delicious and I'm happy!
It's difficult to go out shopping these days, so ordering is a good option.
The other day, for Mother's Day, I received a request that my mother would rather eat canelés than receive flowers, so I ordered some.

We had them compare the mini canelés from a specialty store with those from a Western-style pastry shop.
I included a note in the order email saying it was for Mother's Day, and a small artificial flower with a message was included.
It's nice to see such thoughtfulness.
Even if you can't shop in person, you can get a sense of what kind of staff they are.
The delivery man who delivered the canelés was also very polite and warm.
I am always filled with gratitude.
Both homemade and mail-order sweets can enrich your time at home, but be careful not to eat too much...
I'll be working hard on dancing and strength training today too!
See you next time!
