Hello, this is Kumai from Layout.
The hot days continue, as if the long rainy season that last month was a lie.
I'm so happy that summer is finally here!
Unfortunately, it looks like this will be the first summer in about 10 years that I won't be going to the beach... but instead I'm finding my motivation to survive by watching my favorite idols' online live shows.
Movies I've seen recently
I had never really seen "Princess Mononoke" until I reached this age, so I went to see it in the theater.
It's great to be able to watch this timeless classic from so many years ago in the cinema.
The magnificent sound that is unique to Ghibli can only be experienced in a cinema.
I also borrowed a DVD and watched "Laputa" at home.
Of all the boys in Ghibli films, I like Pazu because he is the most manly and brave.
I also went to see "From Today, It's My Turn!" which I mentioned in my last blog.
If I were to be greedy, I would have liked to see more of Hashimoto Kanna in the film... But it was still fun.
Recent Shopping
And my number one personal hot thing recently is that I bought a tribal rug for the living room!
I had a few small tribal and Gabbeh rugs, but I spent about two years searching for one for the living room before finally deciding to give it to my wife.
I want to create a room with the rug as the focal point, so I plan to start collecting tables, miscellaneous items, and more!
During these two years, there were other potential brides, but for some reason, I couldn't make up my mind and they left for other people...
I did regret not buying it, but in the end I'm glad I found it ^^

The reason I decided to go ahead with it this time was that I had always wanted it, but also because many of Layout's customers have started putting more effort into decorating their rooms since they are spending more time at home, and I think a big part of it was influenced by these customers.
By the way, what is your favorite thing about MY Tribal?

- A subtle sheen when viewed along the grain (I hope the sheen will increase with use)

When I came home and turned on the light in my room, I was so happy to see this rug right away (lol).
Now that I have a new rug, I'm having a lot of fun fantasizing about what kind of room I'll make it into.
Thanks to that, my Instagram is full of interior design ads (lol).
Since we won't be able to spend much on experiences in 2020, I would like to spend my money and energy on interior design!
