Hello, this is Kumai from Layout.
In my last blog post, I said that summer has finally arrived, but the air has quickly become filled with the smell of autumn.

Recent Holidays
On my day off, I had a picnic in the park with my friends.
I bought some nice prepared food from the department store basement and relaxed, looking up at the city skyline.
We talked, ate and relaxed from noon to night and I felt refreshed ^^
It was a last-minute decision so I was disappointed that I couldn't bring a rug, but next time I go on a picnic I'd like to bring my Gabbeh and my Tribal rugs!
Repairing my Gabbeh
At Layout, we check the condition of each rug we receive from Iran and repair or clean it if necessary.
For example, if it is a Gabbeh chair mat, after checking the needle count, we cut and straighten any curled or protruding fibers, and reattach the pompoms to strengthen it.
Come to think of it, I haven't been able to maintain my Gabbeh rug that I use in the office recently, so I had it repaired!
First, check the condition of the pile.
I sit on it every day so my hair is flat. Use your hands to make the nap
Next is the Bonbon check.
One of the bonbons was about to come off, so I first removed it with scissors.
It looks like it's about to come off... Cut with scissors
While I'm at it, I decided to give it a little makeover by changing the tying thread from green to beige.
Sew with a long needle Finally, trim the ends of your hair.
It would probably be best to leave it alone for a little longer until the pile becomes fluffy.

I will continue to have it repaired regularly and cherish it so that I can use it for a long time.
See you next time!
