The season when you start to miss rugs
Layout normally holds pop-up events in various places around the country, but rugs are especially popular in autumn and winter, so we've been busy traveling.
This autumn's POP-UP is from KAMEIDO, a representative of the traditional downtown area!
So, as those of you who follow us on Instagram may know, Layout will be opening a store on the 5th floor of Atre Kameido from September 1st to September 30th.
It's next to Yurindo on the 5th floor.
There is also a Tully's, so it is a floor where you can spend some time relaxing.
This time, I would like to share with you all the information I know about the charms of Kameido as a Kameido beginner!
Kameido Gyoza is the best
For many people, Kameido is synonymous with gyoza.
Although I've introduced this restaurant, I haven't been there yet so I can't give a food review, but rumor has it that a dish is served as soon as you sit down.
Each person can order two plates, and each plate contains five small gyoza, so you'll be able to eat them all in no time! The menu at this restaurant is simple, with only gyoza and drinks!
The crispy and juicy gyoza dumplings are so tasty you can keep eating them like dog soba noodles, you have to go and try them!!
Another classic: Funabashiya's Kuzumochi
I ate a lot of this, but unfortunately forgot to take a picture.

The kuzumochi made by this long-established shop, which has been in business for over 200 years, is chewy, bouncy, and elastic, making it extremely satisfying to eat!
I like to pour so much sugar on the kuzumochi that it drowns in a sea of brown sugar syrup.
KAMEIDO CLOCK (abbreviated as Kamekuro)
Kamekuro is one of the most popular spots that has recently opened.
This facility has different shops than Atre, so if you've come all the way to Kameido, it might be a good idea to go from Atre to Kamekuro!
Enjoy the downtown area
Kameido also has lots of other delicious downtown gourmet foods!
There are plenty of restaurants that go well with alcohol, making it the perfect time for autumn, when appetites are at their peak!
And the first thing I noticed when I came to Kameido was how kind and warm the people there are!
Everyone is very friendly and willing to talk about more than just rugs☺️
I get the impression that many people have a strong sense of local pride, and I think that's a wonderful thing.
Kameido's charm is profound.
