Staff MK's recent activities

Hello, this is Kumai from Layout.

Recently, the strong sunlight has made me happy, as it means summer has arrived!

Above all, I'm happy that the days are getting longer and it's still light even in the evening.

Every time a rug arrives from Iran, Kumai from the camera crew fiddles with his camera and takes lots of pictures of the rug, but as the days get longer it becomes easier to take pictures!

I've been taking lots of photos recently, so please wait a little while for them to be posted on Layout Online.

Something you can cherish and love for a long time

The other day I went to visit my maternal grandmother who is in a nursing home through a window.
It seems like we're finally getting the vaccine, but it looks like it'll be a while before we can meet in person...

At that time, I found some lovely pots and cups at my grandmother's house!
I thought it would be a waste to keep it at home, so I took it home with me.

The right handle is broken.
Apparently the broken part was being held in place with a rubber band, but the rubber band had worn out and started falling off.
It seems to work without any problems so I'll leave it as is.

This was also given to me spontaneously.
Is it a sake cup?
I'm not a fan of sake or shochu, but just drinking something like this seems to add to the atmosphere.

It seems like it hasn't been used for a long time, so I washed it thoroughly and will be using it from now on.

My grandma's house has a lot of treasures, so I'd like to inherit them little by little (though without her permission, haha).

There were still some dishes that caught my eye, as well as old drawings by the whole family, photos from when I was little, and books that my grandmother read to me when I was little, and I thought that I would like to show these to my children when I become a mother someday.

My paternal grandmother has always been good at knitting and makes a lot of clothes and accessories.
Sometimes when she gets hold of beautiful colored yarn, she makes some for me as a gift.

My grandma is so skillful, why didn't I look like her?

And it goes without saying that the person who gives me hand-me-downs more than anyone else is my mother. lol In particular, most of the jewelry I wear on a daily basis was given to me by my mother.

These are the kids I've been wearing a lot lately.

I received the necklace exactly 10 years ago when I entered university.
I only take it off once a year for my health checkup, but I wear it all the time.
I've treasured it for so long, I might go crazy if I lost it lol

But if you use it for a long time, it may break.

So I'm thinking of sending these in for repairs and getting them fixed up nicely!

Just like a rug, you can take care of it and nurture it for a long time.

I hope that one day I can give the rug I'm using now to someone else.
Until then, I will continue to nurture it with love and care!

See you next time!
