Hello!

My name is Yoshikawa and I've been having trouble with the plants I've been growing recently.

Can someone please give me some advice.

Looking for advice,

I had a shiso planted in my garden flower bed, and it was growing well until halfway through, when all the leaves had disappeared (;_;)

The culprit is... a grasshopper.

It became food - so sad (;_;)

I was also growing mint, but it died beautifully.

I recently bought a second one and will do my best to keep it from dying!

Left: Dried mint from the first generation Right: Bushy mint from the second generation

There seem to be many different kinds of mint! Chocolate mint, apple mint, lavender mint...

Among them, I chose Mojito Mint (also known as Yerba Buena)!

I want to drink a mojito with mint that I grew myself (lol)

Cuba Travel

A few years ago, when I went to Cuba, I was blown away by how delicious the mojitos were when I tried them at the birthplace of the drink! They only serve mojitos, so they have a whole row of them ready to make. Apparently Hemingway loved them too...

The Bodeguita del Medio

I have traveled to other countries a few times, but Cuba was so shocking in so many ways that I was constantly surprised!

Cuba is famous for cigars, rum, and classic cars! The revolutionary Che Guevara is also famous!

A one-shot of the Cuba!

All the cars on the road are classic cars

There are lots of colorful buildings

At the time, there were no travel books available from Japan, and no Wi-Fi available in Cuba, so I did a lot of research beforehand!

I actually tried asking local people for directions, but they couldn't understand English at all...

Even in the capital, Havana, I couldn't get my point across. (Maybe the pronunciation is different in Cuba because they speak Spanish? Or maybe it's just my pronunciation...lol) I was really glad that I had done so much research.

I was exhausted from the jet lag and the heat, but the ocean was beautiful, the mojitos were delicious, and it was a great trip!

Varadero's sea is amazing, with its shallow depths and clarity!
This restaurant was only filled with locals and was delicious!!

The second mint leaves were lush, so I immediately tried making mojitos with them!

Mojito challenge!

~Materials~

・Havana Club 45ml

・Mojito mint (as needed)

・1/4 lemon

・Carbonated water

・1 tablespoon of sugar

I finally found Havana Club after visiting three places.

①Put sugar, lemon juice, and mint in a cup and crush them!

It looks delicious already...
crash!!!

② Add Havana Club and carbonated water and stir.

③Add ice and it's done!

Maybe there should have been a bit more mint

Let's try it!

delicious!!!!!

This taste is exactly what I was looking for! It reminded me of Cuba.

It was a little sweet, so you might want to use less sugar.

Please try making it yourself!
