This month's recommendation [May 2020]

What rug will Suzuki, a Gabbeh lover, introduce this time? Of course, it's a Gabbeh (lol)

You might be thinking that a large size carpet is the best size to use in the living room, but that's not necessarily the case.

Choosing the right size depends on your lifestyle. Some people prefer to use it as an accent piece in their room rather than a larger size.

We would like to introduce Gabbeh, which is recommended for such people.

A little flashy? No, it might be quite flashy, but you might like it.

Here you go.

Romantic Gabbeh

I love it so much that I took a photo with Gabbeh! Sorry for the sudden request.

This may seem sudden, but don't you feel a sense of romance?

Why did they choose this pattern? Why this size? Why this color scheme? What story does it tell?

The more I think about it, the more mysterious it becomes. I can't help but think, "I want to hear from the weavers!"

You have a rich imagination and you must be feeling happy.

People we want to cherish, things we want to cherish, precious memories... I imagine that many different feelings are expressed in making Gabbeh rugs.

There's a lot to like about the randomly placed panels and free-flowing design. Here, I'd like to highlight three of my favorite points.

Sheep snuggling up to a girl

This girl always loves the sheep, so they naturally come close to her.

Hmm? Maybe I'm wrong...

Maybe they want food? Or maybe they're just playing.

Perhaps he is telling the sheep, "Go to bed early."

At night, the world of navy panels takes you into a dream world to relieve the fatigue of the day ahead...

Colorful mini panels

There are panels within panels...

The square panel pattern is said to represent a window.

What meaning is hidden in the colorful panels?

Please bear with me for a moment as I explore the color images I have in mind.

White is clouds, green is nature, red is sunset, yellow is clear skies, and navy is night.

Windows also have the meaning of "bringing happiness and beauty."

How do you all feel?

Next to the small panel is a drawer-like design that is neatly lined up.

There are many things that I'm curious about, but I won't go into them here (laughs).

stripes

White and red stripes

It's a mystery why they chose the striped pattern here...

Patterns like London stripes give a sense of style.

It's amazing how brave it is to include stripes within the entire panel.

Was it added at someone's request, or did they just decide on the spot that changing the design might make it more stylish?

It's so stylish. Nice accent!

What did you think of the three recommended points?

I've introduced some of my favorite patterns, but there's still more I can't share with you...

I could go on and on about this, so I'll stop here for now (lol)

Edge Design

Thickness 1.5cm

It has beautiful edges (the hemmed parts), so I definitely recommend you check it out!

Bordeaux x Yellow

Calm burgundy and energetic yellow

The color of the edges is calculated so as not to disrupt the overall image of the Gabbeh.

Maybe I'm just doing it intuitively...

Nice sense!

Minimalist style/Scandinavian

The size makes it easy to use even if you live alone.

It would also look good in the living room or beside your bed.

It may have a flashy image, but it picks up the colors used around it, so it blends in naturally and you can style it with confidence.

On my days off, I sit in a chair and place a mug of coffee and a book on the side chest.

A fluffy Gabbeh mattress is placed under your feet. When you want to take a short break, you can even take a nap on it.

Just imagining it makes me grin (lol)

How about creating a cozy room?
