In my last blog post, I talked about attending a preview of a newly renovated hotel.
I was so impressed by the amazing renovation that my blog ended up going in a completely different direction than what I had originally intended to talk about.
I ended by talking about the importance of repairing and using a sofa, which is a different angle from what I wanted to talk about in my blog, and that we should choose a sofa that we will want to cherish!
So, what was it that I wanted to talk about last time? (I know, it's not something I should be pretentious about...)
The story goes that "attention to detail in the floor and handles really makes a big impact."
Perhaps because so many artists and designers from Japan and abroad were involved, the details are simply wonderful and heartwarmingly cute, which got me excited.
I don't know the details of what is so amazing about the architecture or how it is constructed, but there are many things that I noticed that are different from other places, with attention to detail in every single part that I'm used to seeing.
First, the handle.

Brass was also used in the closets and bathrooms.
Because they are things you touch and see every day, you want to pay attention to the handles and faucets.
Everything about the bathroom was lovely, and it made me imagine what it would be like to build a house like this, and it was a bathroom filled with my dreams.
It's a touch of detail that interior design lovers will love.
These may be custom-made for hotels, but when I build my own house, I want to look at a variety of sinks and handles to find the one that's right for me.
I don't have any plans to build it yet, but I'm starting to think about gathering information now. But when the time comes, I might not be able to remember what I remembered back then.
I get excited thinking about what I'll do when I build my own house.
When choosing handles for doors, closets, etc. in the future, instead of just thinking, "This one will do," it might be a good idea to try to imagine what you want or look at a magazine. I think this is one of the points that will make guests think, "Huh?! This house is different..." when they come to your house.
And the floor.

The floor was really amazing.
Floors, which create each space and take up a large area, are important in determining the impression of the interior. Recently, thanks to commercials by house builders and interior trends, it seems that more people are choosing solid walnut or solid oak floors. It seems that dark brown or pure white floors are seen less often than before. Dark brown and solid walnut have similar colors, but compared to the glossy, modern dark brown,
Flooring made from solid wood, which allows you to feel the wood itself, has a natural feel and makes a big difference in the impression it gives.
That's why we want you to carefully consider your interior furniture when making your selection.
And here is the floor that particularly shocked me during the hotel preview.
If you look closely, you'll see that although it looks like normal flooring, it's actually a trapezoid, not a straight one.
Everyone who went with me raved about this and was paying attention to the floor (it was quite a strange sight).
And it's not just a trapezoid.
It was a place where the trapezoidal floor had a specific meaning as a space.
What's more, it was imported from Italy.
It may be difficult to incorporate such attention to detail into everyday interior design.
However, it was a floor that made me think, ``I want to be particular about this.''
And one more thing.

Many people are incorporating this into their bathroom tiles.
Although tiles are all called tiles, the impression can change dramatically depending on the shape, color of the tile itself, or even just the color of the grout.
Laying rugs.
While many homes these days are choosing to use hardwood flooring, I still think that laying rugs is a nice option.

It feels so good to step on with bare feet that you'll want to touch it.
Choosing a floor is an essential part of your interior, and although it can be difficult, it's something you want to carefully consider when choosing one since you'll be using it for a long time.
What I always think.
Before deciding on each item, visualize the big picture.
A house built solely with the desire to add lots of windows to let in light may end up with no walls, meaning you can't decorate the walls or have fun with them, or the floor plan may end up with a TV stand blocking the windows. If you take a holistic view of your lifestyle and interior, I think you'll end up with a stylish and lovely space that is cohesive.

SHIMAZAKI AYAKO
I loved redecorating and constantly rearranging my room as a child, and before I knew it, 12 years have passed since I started working in interior design. I am the manager of two different interior design shops, and I've recently started working in the e-commerce business. I'm a bundle of curiosity, and although I have a high level of concentration, my persistence is quite low, so I'm secretly worried about writing a blog.
