One of my jobs is styling model homes.
This can happen two or three times a year, and now is one of those times.
Today, I would like to introduce a model house that has been delivered.
Since last month, we have received requests for small projects (only the living room and dining room) and various other projects, but this time we were asked to renovate the entire building.
The display proposal came from someone who liked the feel of the store's display, so it was a very easy project to propose.
We created the model house based on two main requests: we wanted the atmosphere of our store to be conveyed in the model house, and we wanted greenery to be incorporated effectively.
We will split into two teams to create furniture proposals and miscellaneous goods display proposals.
The furniture proposal will be decided first, followed by the proposal for the miscellaneous goods display.
We look at blueprints, furniture proposals and do the styling many times, but each building has its own unique features and construction, so it's a pleasure to see it every time.
That's why I think that looking around at lots of model homes is fun and exciting, and it will help you get a better idea of what kind of home they will build for you.
The location was great, on the corner of a busy, popular area, and I was even more excited knowing that lots of people would be coming to see it.
workspace
One of the key points we focused on was the abundance of workspace.
There is a built-in desk and two pieces of wall storage, and we created an atmosphere with the person who will use it in mind.
The room overlooking the garage has a masculine, black-based interior, allowing you to work at your desk while admiring your favorite car in the garage, while the bright room, which receives warm sunlight, has a feminine, soft, bright white interior.

It might be a little hard to tell from the photo...
Even if the design is similar, it can change completely just by choosing the image color.
This is another interesting aspect of the interior.
garage
To help you imagine a relaxing space in the garage, we have provided the Eco Fan Chairs, which are also familiar from Moomin Valley Park, to help you relax.

Once you start getting into it, you can't stop, so we tried to make it so that you can imagine that your garage will become an increasingly fun space!
The car hadn't arrived yet, so it wasn't a set, but having a car would have made the space even more imaginative.
The living room and dining room are the places that customers see most often, and they determine the impression of the house.
That's why we tried to display the items in a way that would look nice and make the space comfortable.
living
In the living room, we made sure to use black accents to match the living room table, and we focused on creating a cool look that goes beyond just natural and casual.
We created a living room that allows you to imagine yourself sitting on the sofa, relaxing, hugging a cushion while watching TV, or reading a book while drinking coffee.

dining
For the dining room, I wanted it to have a homey feel, but also look a little glamorous, like on an ordinary day. I wanted it to be a place where our family of four could all sit in Y-shaped chairs and spend quality time together, so that our guests would feel wonderful, and at the same time, I wanted my own family to have the same image.

I think it's very difficult to expand on an image.
It's very difficult to imagine your life in an empty house with no furniture or a model home that only has temporary furniture. If it's too realistic, it can leave you feeling a bit unsure. That's why we aim to create model homes that allow customers to imagine living there with their own families, and also create a sense of aspiration and ideals.
Even when it comes to something as simple as a desk lamp, I often find myself worrying about whether white or gray will suit the image of my home. It often takes me two days to think about it before finally making a decision.
When I'm talking to a customer and I think, "Huh? I don't think we're picturing the same image," I'll quickly grab a pen and paper and draw a diagram to show them, asking, "Is this right?"
That's why, when we talk about model homes or when it comes to building a home, I always try to make proposals that are in line with the concept, hoping to help clients visualize how they want to be able to recreate the atmosphere of that model home in their own home.
When you visit a model home, be sure to pay attention to the furniture and displays.
This will make it clear at a glance how much importance each home builder places on interior design.
It would be great if we could create a home where we can live comfortably and wonderfully every day.

SHIMAZAKI AYAKO
I loved redecorating and constantly rearranging my room as a child, and before I knew it, 12 years have passed since I started working in interior design. I am the manager of two different interior design shops, and I've recently started working in the e-commerce business. I'm a bundle of curiosity, and although I have a high level of concentration, my persistence is quite low, so I'm secretly worried about writing a blog.
