ACTUS Hiroshima store Hirofumi Hashiguchi's Episode 3
In the first and second episodes of "Everyone's Interior Story," we asked Hiroshi Hashiguchi about his own interior design situation.
In episode 3, we will receive professional advice on how to take the first step in enjoying interior design.
Interior design is about the room you spend every day in. It may actually be the most private place where you don't have to worry about anyone else, and where you can choose what you want most freely.
It all starts with finding something you love
Interior design may give the impression of being something large-scale, but I think it's best to start by finding one thing you like.
When new staff members join our store, we tell them to find one thing they love.
When you try using it and realize how good it is, you want to know the background and story of the person who made it, and you want to see other designs by that person, and your interest will expand. If you go further, you will become interested in other products from that era, and even start researching the manufacturing process in that country, and your interest will go deeper and deeper.
Of course, you don't need to go that deep, but once you find one you like, you'll start to enjoy thinking about your interior, trying different things next.
It doesn't have to be furniture.

For women, we recommend starting with small items and tableware that are easy to handle. First, touch and use them to get a feel for their quality.
There are no rules or correct answers when it comes to interior design. Because it is a limited, private space, you can choose whatever you like.
Creating a comfortable space that suits you and is surrounded by things you love is the fun and appeal of interior design.
