Daily Life Seen from the Interior Vol.2

A serial blog by Hiroki Sueyoshi of FAH Co., Ltd.

Write your last blog.
Writing a blog, which I'm not used to, helps me organize my thoughts,
Above all, it's a great opportunity to reflect on why I'm doing this job.

It's very difficult to put into words what's in my head, but I'm always up for the challenge.
Anyway, I'll try it out and think about it, and I hope to be able to write better blogs, even if it's just a little bit at a time.

By the way, after I finished writing my last blog, I sent it to my client, Mr. Maeda.
I was extremely worried about whether I was living up to their expectations. A few minutes later, I got a reply...

"thank you"

Huh? That's it? Any thoughts?
I calmed down and thought about it. Well, he said "thank you," so I guess it's fine.

If we do everything we can and it doesn't work, then there's nothing we can do. It's also the fault of the person who asked us. (Just kidding) With that in mind, let's do our best in the second event.

Last time, I wrote at length about what interior design is, but what I wanted to convey was that it is a major factor in creating happiness at home.
It can be difficult to communicate your thoughts...
I regret that I should have made it simpler and easier to understand.

So,

This time I would like to write on the theme "Interior design is not difficult."

Now, let's get to the main topic.

Interior design isn't difficult

People often say that interior design is difficult.
It's certainly deep and has a great history.
But there's no need to think too hard about it.

"Just enjoy the house (space)"

That's all.

Of course, I'm a professional, so I can't just enjoy it.
I learn about all the trends, history, products, and styles.
This is quite difficult.

This is to accommodate everyone's desire to "enjoy interior design."

But this is just a job.

I don't think the average person needs to go to such lengths; they should just enjoy the home and space they love.

If you give up your desires and have fun, that's fine too.
If you're satisfied with collecting something, that's fine too.
If tidying up makes you feel good, that's OK.
If you find a little clutter more relaxing, that's OK too.

All are correct.

If the interior you want to create is something you want to create, not something someone else wants to create, then I think that is the best interior for you.

I want to do it like this, but I don't know how.
In such cases, it's a good idea to ask someone nearby who is knowledgeable about interior design for their opinion.

That encounter may be the most difficult in some ways.

But now we have the internet and things like Instagram, and we can connect with everything.

It's been 13 years since I started this job, and I believe that the number of people enjoying interior design in Japan is definitely increasing.

I think that just shows how much interior design has become familiar to us.

Until a few decades ago, I think many people spent more money on things outside than on their homes, but I think that in today's world, more and more people are valuing their homes.

Back to the story.

Now you can get free interior design information.
You can easily see various interior designs on your smartphone.

"I want to live in a room like this."

I think that when I think about things like this, that is the moment I enjoy interior design.
And then, little by little, with time and money, we make it happen.
I am writing this blog to help you enjoy interior design.

It's true that buying furniture can be expensive.
I think you'll be anxious because you don't want to fail.

However, if you forget to have fun, you'll end up wasting all that fun shopping.
I think it's okay to take your time and think about it.

Anyway, try to find something that makes you happy.

Just enjoy it as simply as a child would.

Yes, interior design is easy to enjoy.
Like music and movies.

Find a space that is uniquely yours.
I'm already enjoying the interior.
The interior isn't difficult.

STAY HOME
Now is the time to enjoy your home!
