TK's daily life

Hello!

How are you all doing these days?
I thought I might be stressed out spending more time at home, but I generally love staying at home, so I've been having fun watching videos and laughing.

This time, we invite you to the "world of music videos and commercials you've never heard of."
Since it's a very personal video, I recommend watching it with a light heart, thinking, "Oh, so there are videos like this."

It always makes me cry. It makes me cry.

Everyone has a favorite toy.
I have an older sister, so I got a lot of hand-me-downs.
Stuffed animals, Barbie dolls, everything (I'm sure my eldest daughter has her own reasons for saying this, so I'll leave it at that).

I will never forget it.
My grandmother bought me a small stuffed animal, about 20cm long, that I'm sure was a hamster or something, but I'm not sure now.
I named it "Spica" and carried it around everywhere.
We even took baths together (I regretted it as his fur became rough) and slept together every day. When you press Spica's stomach, it makes a squeaking noise (air escapes and makes a sound).
Because there was an object inside, Spica and I often had secret conversations.
The side of the rib gets torn and then stitched up, so I take really good care of it (it looks like a rug 💛)
She was a friend only given to me. That Spica is no longer with us.
He's gone somewhere. I cry every time I think about him.

I want to sneak around with a flashlight too.

A school play for children. Serious mode. The teacher is more excited than the students.
Parents left behind. The best.
My sixth grade teacher, Mr. Sato, was also a passionate teacher. There are so many, aren't there? Passionate teachers.
They were serious about everything they did. If a student was lazy, they would be seriously spanked on the buttocks with a stick.
There were many things that would be completely unacceptable in today's world, but he was a very kind and wonderful teacher. He is one of the adults who changed my life.

If you've watched these two films and think you might like the worldview recommended by Komatsu, then you're in luck.
I became captivated by the commercials for John Lewis, a long-established British department store.
In addition to these two, there are many other touching commercials and commercials with a sharp black humor, so if you're interested, be sure to search for them.

A commercial for a British telecommunications company. It has nothing to do with ponies. That's what's great about it.

At the beginning of the film, a pony stands on a cliff. It feels like something is about to begin.
Moonwalk with light music.
The pony's expression is irresistible.

I thought it was a grand drama, but it reminded me of an IKEA commercial.

Here is a supplementary explanation: All four commercials above were made by British directors.
Works by Dougal Wilson. There are many other recommendations, but these are the four I've carefully selected.
I rewatched many of his works in preparation for this introduction, and he is definitely one of my favorite directors.
In Japan, you can see his work in iPhone commercials, among other things.

This is what you call a music video!

I also love the world of music videos, and there are still many that I watch over and over again.
This time it's this.
Jamiroquai ’s Virtual Insanity
This music video was actually taken in 1996, so it's almost 20 years old.
Don't you think it looks so refined that it wouldn't look out of place even if you looked at it now?
Wow, that's so cool.
I once saw a documentary about the production process, and I was surprised to see that it wasn't the floor that moved, but rather the walls, which were moved by about 30 adults in time with JayK's movements.

Having had a brief stint in music video production in the past, I felt dizzy as the hardships of the production came back to me, but I came to the conclusion that this is what makes a cool music video.

What did you think of this episode of "The World of Music Videos and Commercials You Don't Know About"?
There are still many more... especially music videos, which are just as deep as rags. There are still tons of music videos I want to introduce.
Please enjoy it as one of the nesting sites☺

Well then! See you next time!
