Hello, this is staff member Kumai.
A month into 2021 has passed in the blink of an eye.
Time really does fly by and it feels like a year has passed in just three months.
Recently, I've been watching a lot of movies since the end of the year!
It's a time when it's difficult to meet friends outside, so the other day I was invited to a friend's house for a home party and home theater ♪♪
Enjoy a home-cooked meal and then watch a movie while lying on the bed afterwards!
I have a projector on the wall in my bedroom.
I was hesitant to post it because there were only very unclear photos, but...
I'll post it just in case lol
The movies I've seen recently are: AI Apocalypse, New Interpretation of the Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and LUCY.
・Final Destination
・Charlie and the Chocolate Factory ・Terminator 2
There's no consistency in the movie choices.
I've also started watching the foreign TV drama "Walking Ted," so I'm enjoying my time at home to the fullest!
New Face
At the end of the year, we welcomed a new Gabbeh doll into our home ^^
A simple blue Gabbeh.
The size is 90 x 60 cm.
In the mornings and evenings, the kitchen is so cold it's almost painful to do the dishes or cook, so I was thinking about putting a Gabbeh carpet in the kitchen, and then I came across this one!
I've always preferred patterned Gabbeh rugs, but I decided that if I was going to buy one, I'd get a simple blue one.
The reason is that when I took this photo that is featured on the OMIAI introduction page, the Gabbeh looked so beautiful in the natural light that I thought, "Great!!"
Until then I hadn't paid much attention to the simplicity of blue, but it suddenly caught my eye.
Since then, I have continued to search for Blue Simple every time a Gabbeh of about 90 x 60 cm comes in, but even though they are called Blue Simple, each one is a one-of-a-kind, so they are all slightly different.
I was so focused on the thickness and color that it's been half a year since I took this photo.
The one I purchased this time is thick and sturdy, the wool is soft, and depending on the angle you look at it, it has a slightly glossy look, which I love.
I'm stepping on it, wondering if the shine will increase as I continue to use it.
I'd also like to try exposing it to sunlight and see how much it fades!
I'm often asked, "Won't a Gabbeh rug get dirty in the kitchen?" and "Isn't it a waste?", but when I use it, it doesn't bother me that much.
I don't want to get it dirty, so I've become more careful not to spill anything. Lol I feel safe knowing there are first aid methods.

I'm looking forward to moving it to other places besides the kitchen and using it in various places.
See you next time!
