Autumn is well underway now, how are you all doing?
The sunlight, the color of the sky, the shape of the clouds, the clear air, and the autumn leaves are all so pleasant.
I also spend every week playing outside with my children.
Since we didn't get to do much in the summer, we took this opportunity to go on picnics, play badminton, frisbee, and ball games. My muscles are sore every week.
And my 4-year-old daughter learned to ride a bike last week!
I thought that practicing riding a bicycle was quite difficult and required a lot of patience.
Contrary to my expectations, I was able to ride it on the second try.
Is that what kids are like nowadays?
Well, I think it's going to be difficult to remember when and how hard to start pedaling and when to brake.
Now, I have a lemon tree that I have been growing on my balcony for the past two years.
It was a memorial tree that was purchased when my beloved dog passed away.
So that you can think back to the time when the fruit will be ripening.
This plant blooms several times a year with cute white and pale pink flowers, which are then picked to allow it to produce fruit. However, this time I decided to take the plunge and leave it to grow naturally without any intervention or picking of the flowers, to see how much fruit it would produce, so I watched over it.

And then, lo and behold!
13 fruit were produced!!
The nutrients are distributed so the pieces are a little small, but still great!
These are round and chubby lemons.

First off, harvest!
An absolute partner
Enjoy it with fried chicken

Put rock ice in a thin glass, pour in Kinmiya shochu and squeezed homemade lemon juice, and top up with soda.
The best homemade lemon sour is ready!
Of course, we squeeze plenty of lemon on the fried chicken.

Huff huff puff
Hahaha
Gulp gulp, one more gulp
Mmmmm, I'm grinning from ear to ear
It's the best!

Wow! I'm so surprised!
By far the best lemon sour I've ever had
It has a refreshing acidity, a crisp feeling, and a refreshing aroma that lasts for a long time, making it very delicious.
It was a moment when I thought, "Thank you Kibi (my dog's name)" and "Thank you Lemon-chan."
If my dog were still alive, I'm sure he would be sitting right next to me, good and well, with his mouth open, his tail wagging, and his eyes sparkling as he looked back and forth between the fried chicken and me.
Because she knows she's got a bone
I can't meet your high expectations, but I'll give you a little bit of the meat and cartilage inside, just a little bit.
Since it is pesticide-free and wax-free, it is safe to use, so I'm thinking of slicing it and candied it, or even making limoncello with it.
It was a perfect marriage.
It seems like fried chicken specialty restaurants are all the rage these days.
Fried chicken is a staple of home cooking.
It's also my mother's taste, and I season it as I feel like it.
I like the word "appropriate" It's a good balance between ideals and reality lol
So this time I tried making it like this.

Poke holes in the bone-in chicken wings with a fork.
Season with sake, soy sauce, oyster sauce, pepper, lemon juice, ginger, garlic, and secret ingredients of cardamom and allspice.

Marinate in a ziplock bag for a day
the next day

Cover them generously with potato starch mixed with a little plain flour and arrange them on a tray.

Leave it for a while to let the batter absorb the moisture (this will give the batter a crispy, crunchy texture).

Place in hot oil and leave untouched for a while!
Flip it over gently and when it is golden brown and the sound changes from popping to fizzing, it is done.

Crispy and juicy fried chicken is ready ♡
So, are you craving fried chicken for dinner tonight?
Don't forget the lemon sour!
