It's been hot and hot every day!
Although the heatwave is intense, Layout offers a subtle escape from the heat, with sunlight filtering through the lush green cherry blossom leaves along the Meguro River and the gentle flow of the river.
My summer came when I went to my annual camp the other day.
Our family almost always chooses campsites with clear streams, and this campsite was also lovely.
The tall cedar forest offers a sense of openness without the need for a tarp, and next to it is a crystal clear stream deep enough for children to play in, sparkling in the sunlight filtering through the trees. If your body gets hot, you can jump into the ice-cold stream and cool down in an instant with a 'Phew!'
We enjoyed cooking, eating and playing leisurely while enjoying nature.
With this heat, it's impossible to go to the park on your day off!!
That means playing at home, but I've already done everything I could and am out of ideas...
And if we don't do anything, they'll just be watching YouTube all the time, which is a pain for a parent.
When that happens, I make sweets and bread.
It's fun and delicious, killing two birds with one stone.
So this time, with the help of a friend, I made chewy pretzel-style bagels.
Here are the ingredients.

① Connections
First, the strong flour "Yumechikara" is delicious! ・Mix sugar, salt, and yeast in a bowl. Add water to the center of the well and mix until the water is evenly distributed.

Once it has come together, knead it further, making sure it becomes smooth.

With a bang, he slammed it onto the table from above!
and let the moisture soak into the dough.

Let it rest for about 5 minutes
Add the kneaded butter and knead again. Roll out the dough by sliding it across the table and then roll it back down.
Change the length and width and stretch it again ~ and then return it ~
Smoothly.
Once I get into it, my mouth gets a bit pointy lol

②Divide
Divide into 4 parts
Take a 15-minute break
③Molding
The dough will be slightly warm and fluffy. Then roll it out like a snake, flatten it, and fill it with your favorite ingredients, such as chocolate chips, jam, or melted cheese.
If you get too greedy and put in too much, it won't close lol

Roll it up, join the edges together to form a donut shape, then place it on baking paper.
④Fermentation
Ferment at 30 degrees for about 20 minutes
⑤Ketling
It has become round and smooth.
Then, put it in boiling water with baking soda, and voila!

Boil each side for 30 seconds
Once cooked, cut into desired shapes with a knife and sprinkle with rock salt.
⑥ Firing
Bake in a preheated oven at 210 degrees for about 15 minutes

Yes, it's done!

The bagels are smooth, heavy, warm and chewy!
It's so easy, so much fun to mix together that you'll become addicted to it, and so delicious.
The kids also enjoyed playing with clay and then enjoyed eating it.
And then it was gone in a flash.
The hot days are still continuing, so I'd like to enjoy some delicious food at home in a cool atmosphere!
Until next time~
