The Yaghani group of the Baluchi tribe are known for their chocolate bar-like designs.
It's always a struggle to write local words in katakana, but the most realistic way to pronounce it is Yaghoubkhani (یعقوبخانی), which is quite difficult to say in Japanese, so I just call it Yaghani!
○○Khani means something like the ○○ family or the ○○ clan, so it has the nuance of the Yaghani family.

This rug is probably made by a weaver in the Khorasan region of northeastern Iran, and has a color scheme and composition that is typical of "The Baluchis," with burgundy, red, and black lines framed in a thin white border.
The warp threads are wool and the weft threads are cotton, and the rug is soft and supple because the weft threads are woven using a method called tufting.

I used to work in a chocolate shop, so this design always looks like a chocolate bar to me, but it's a design that is close to a regular all-over geometric pattern, so even if you place it at the foot of your sofa in your living room and put a low table on it, the beautiful design in the center won't be hidden, making it easy to style.

We also recommend styling it with small rugs featuring unique animal or bird designs.

説明
Tribal Rug

Tribal rugs are a culture that has been passed down for a long time as tools for the daily lives of nomadic people who live with sheep and goats. They are used for a wide range of purposes, including as floor coverings, as bags to carry food and daily necessities, as dividers inside tents, and as curtain curtains to hang over entrances. They are designed for continued use, so they are highly functional and durable.

It is said that the designs of tribal rugs are influenced by all things related to daily life, such as the different cultures, climates, animals that live with each tribe and region, and familiar plants and flowers, and you can feel the commitment of nomads who seek color in their lives.

Among the many handmade rugs, tribal rugs are the ones that highlight the individuality of the weaver, and the designs that arise from their free-spirited style are also a major attraction.

Baluchi
A tribe living in eastern Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The linear geometric patterns and deep, muted colors seem to represent the strength of these creatures who live in an environment that is harshly dry and subject to strong sunlight.
Many settled Baluchi people live in towns and villages in eastern Iran, and mothers set up looms in their homes and weave rugs in between housework and work. Lead more [close]
