A rug from the town of Zanjan, discovered in the bazaar of Qazvin.
Zanjan is a town in northwestern Iran, home to many people of the Afshar tribe.

In the beautiful stone-paved bazaar of Qazvin, it was this blue gradation that immediately caught my eye and captured my heart.
Gazing at its expressive tones—reminiscent of a cloudy sky or well-worn denim—you may feel as if you are being drawn into its world.

The tips of the pile have naturally faded over time, gently lowering the overall color tone and giving the rug a calm, settled presence, which adds greatly to its charm.
Touches of orange and green are subtly woven in, serving as lovely accents.

This Zanjan rug has a slightly coarse weave and still retains plenty of pile, making it quite comfortable to sit on or even lie down and relax.

There is a slight distortion, resulting in some minor lifting in places, but this is common with handmade rugs. With use, it should gradually settle and conform to the floor.
