Tribal Rug 41130
カテゴリー: Tribal Rugs
Sanandaj is a town in northwestern Iran where Kurds live.
It features a distinctive design where a pattern called Herati is woven repeatedly, with the base color gradually changing outward from the central diamond medallion.
Though this design has been woven by the Kurds of Sanandaj for generations, it remains handwoven.
Even rugs from the same town each shine with their own unique character.
The Herati design on this rug has a slightly relaxed, “loose” feel that creates an indescribably pleasant atmosphere.
The center seems centered yet not quite, and the more you look, the more you find yourself imagining the weaver's intent—it's that intriguing.
City rugs often blend the crisp formality of Persian rugs with the local charm of tribal rugs. This relaxed balance creates a comfortable feel when placed in a room.
The overall color tone has mellowed slightly with age, adding to its vintage appeal.

説明
Tribal RugTribal rugs are a culture that has been passed down for a long time as tools for the daily lives of nomadic people who live with sheep and goats. They are used for a wide variety of purposes, including as floor coverings, as bags to carry food and daily necessities, as dividers inside tents, and as curtain curtains to hang over entrances. They are designed for continued use, so they are highly functional and durable.
It is said that the designs of tribal rugs are influenced by all things related to daily life, such as the different cultures, climates, animals that live with each tribe and region, and familiar plants and flowers, and you can feel the commitment of nomads who seek color in their lives.
Among the many handmade rugs, tribal rugs are the ones that highlight the individuality of the weaver, and the designs that emerge from their free-spirited style are also a major attraction.
Baluchi
A tribe living in eastern Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
The linear geometric patterns and deep, muted colors seem to represent the strength of these creatures who live in an environment that is harshly dry and subject to strong sunlight.
Many settled Baluchi people live in towns and villages in eastern Iran, and mothers set up looms in their homes and weave rugs in between housework and work. Lead more [close]
