This is a Turkmen wall decoration called a jalal, and is characterized by its long, narrow shape.
It is estimated to be a vintage piece from the 1950s and has aged beautifully.
The warp wool that appears in the fringe is also beautiful, like an untwisted mane.
The red hair has faded to a chic reddish-brown color at the ends, while the navy hair has barely faded at all and retains its original color.
