Nobby's Interior Style | Ethnic Style

Fashionista Nobby talks about interior styles and the role of rugs in a critical manner.

The style combines Asian simplicity with sophisticated quality, incorporating unique furniture and accessories from various countries made from natural materials such as rattan, teak, hemp, and bamboo, as well as large, tropical-style greenery.

Tropical Library

The space is compactly arranged with neatly displayed books, stools and art pieces, all of different sizes. Dried flowers are placed in a rattan basket, and large-leafed plants and plants on the stool are placed on either side of the mirror, so you can feel the negative ions every time you stand in front of the mirror.

The glossy finish of the mirror frame, which resembles a deep blush finish, combined with the slightly dull, dark flooring creates a calming atmosphere.

The ragù is an old Shiraz.
A rug in a sophisticated color is placed to envelop the entire bookshelf, and art and other items are styled to overlap it.
By not placing the rug too close to the bookshelf, you can see a glimpse of the floor, giving the room a clean look.

Nagisa's Living Room

The rattan sofa, a characteristic of ethnic interiors, and the brown fabric give a calming impression.
Instead of incorporating large plants, we chose small plants that fit our lifestyle. During the day, the brown blinds let in pleasant light, making you feel like you're sitting by a window at a resort.

A tribal rug is placed at the foot of a sofa, which is usually a plain color. The blue represents the sky and sea, while the white resembles a sandy beach. Animal head flowers and animal motifs evoke the richness of nature, so they match the atmosphere of the room. If you place a rug where you often sit and set up a side table, you'll have easy access to a book or mug, making it even more relaxing.

Cool resort

A cozy ethnic style.
The straight, sleek sofa frame and beige fabric give a natural and gentle impression, and the bird design on the cushion cover on top of the sofa is instantly heartwarming.

The dining table has T-shaped legs instead of four and is made of solid wood for a heavy feel. The combination of rattan chairs and classic wooden chairs makes it feel like a resort lounge, perfect for relaxing.

Gabbehs with panel designs may seem flashy at first glance, but they have a refreshing and chic color scheme. The high-quality, fine-meshed design is modern and not too sweet, balancing well with the colors of the curtains, chairs, and sofas in your living and dining room.

It's comfortable to sit on the sofa and admire the Gabbeh design, or just stretch or lounge around.
It's more of a calm space than a pop one.

Tropical Lounge

You'll feel like you're in a tropical resort lounge.

Enjoy changing the placement of the lounge chairs and side tables depending on the season, and sit in a chair with your back to the fireplace and look out at the living and dining room.

The chair has a textured feel and stylish iron legs, while the heavy-looking side table made from a tree stump exudes the warmth of natural materials and seems to give off a lovely fragrance.

The selection of plants with large leaves creates a more beautiful atmosphere.

The reddish floor, the modern fireplace surrounded by terracotta blocks, the tribal rug in sophisticated red and black tones that matches it, and the moderately shiny baluchi are indispensable to this space.

Styling a chair and side table on top of the rug will make it a special place.

Ethnic style points

When you hear the word "ethnic," you might imagine bright colors and ethnic items, but you can also create an atmosphere by simply adding textured furniture and pop-colored textiles as accents to your room. We recommend styling simple furniture with tribal rugs or Gabbehs, and decorative furniture with simple Gabbeh designs.
It might be a good idea to express your individuality by combining patterns.
